Since 1986, area residents and businesses have supported the YMCA mission through the "Partner with Youth" fund. The money raised during the Partner with Youth drive is used to sustain mission-serving programs and to give financial assistance to individuals and families. Partner with Youth funds are combined with United Way dollars to enable the YMCA to assist individuals and families in securing memberships at the YMCA regardless of their ability to pay. The Partner with Youth fund also helps individuals who partake in YMCA programs, but choose not to become members.
This past year, over 400 individuals received financial assistance at the YMCA. Because of generous donations from local people and businesses, the YMCA had the ability to lend a helping hand to these individuals. The YMCA plans to continue this valuable mission serving practice in the future.
Bill Morgan is chairman of this very important fundraising effort. With a goal of $61,325, the YMCA will need high level support from all to achieve this goal.
Donors of $500 or more receive recognition with a banner to be hung at the YMCA. Donors of $250 get their recognition on our youth team shirts. Pledges may be emailed to the YMCA at rstangel@greencountyymca.org
