THE YMCA FOUNDATION
The Green County Family YMCA Foundation was formed in 1988. Currently, the Foundation value is about $275,000. The Foundation exists for the sole purpose of sustaining the YMCA mission in Green County.

The Foundation has a board of directors under the leadership of Paul Voegeli, Board President.

The future success of the YMCA in Green County will be dependent on sustaining gifts of financial support. The Foundation's ability to fund the YMCA program is crucial to the YMCA's ability to provide services to the community.
Members and participants are encouraged to remember the YMCA Foundation in your charitable giving. All gifts are tax deductible. All gifts are appreciated large or small.

A working arm of the Foundation is the "Pooled Income Fund". This fund allows donors an opportunity to give a gift to the YMCA, receive a tax deduction and still receive income from the gift for the life of the donor.

If you have any questions regarding the YMCA Foundation or the Pooled Income Fund, contact Reid Stangel at the YMCA at 325-2003, or Paul Voegeli at 328-2000.

FACILITY DESCRIPTION
Due to the generosity of the people and businesses in Green County, the YMCA grew an additional 5,300 sq. ft. in the spring of 2003. This addition was made after several years of planning resulting in a facility that better serves the fitness needs of our community. This 5,300 sq. ft. addition increases your YMCA's total sq ft. to 40,300.

Included in the 40,300 sq. ft., is a 25 meter indoor swimming pool surrounded by a beautiful sea mural, fitness center, full size gym, gymnastics center/multipurpose room, locker rooms, family locker area, game room, running track, babysitting room, new preschool, family lounge, lobby and offices in 2008.

The YMCA facility is on about 10 acres of land. The athletic field was expanded in the end of 2000 adding 720 square feet which includes playing fields for soccer, football and T-ball. Also on the YMCA property, is a paved parking area for 170 cars. The YMCA also has a preschool gym/playground area. In 1999, the YMCA constructed a 28x30 two bay garage. In the fall of 2005, a pavilion in memory of Dr. Robert Baumann was built on the athletic field.

The Monroe School District is generous in allowing the YMCA to use their facilities for basketball and indoor soccer. In return, the Monroe School District uses the YMCA pool for girls swim team, track and cross-country workouts, special education classes, and special events. The YMCA also cooperates with the Monroe Park and Rec. for field usage.

YMCA CODE OF CONDUCT
The mission of the Green County Family YMCA is to provide programs for all races and creeds with emphasis on youth and young adults in the community which can give effect to our Christian ideals and values, and offer men, women, boys and girls, irrespective of age, mental or physical abilities or economic circumstances opportunities for experiences that will help them.

We ask that individuals act in a manner that will uphold the four principles that are essential in the growth of young adults today. They are HONESTY, RESPONSIBILITY, CARING and RESPECT. These four principles are the basis for what we do as an organization.
BUILDING USAGE POLICY
Children must be 10 years old in order to be at the Y alone. No guest privileges will be allowed for children under 10 attending the Y alone. Children enrolled in YMCA programs are able to be at the Y during programs. Children should not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to the start of the program and should be picked up within 15 minutes after class. Children who attend with a parent are allowed to use the Y, but must be at least 7 years old if a parent isn't directly with them. Children under the age of 10 and at least 7 years old may attend with an older sibling or babysiter (must be 13 years of age) and be with child constantly. Children under 7 years can participate at the Y if they are in constant care of a responsible adult or parent.

BACK DOOR USAGE
"Why can't we use the back door?" This question is asked over and over. The answer dwells upon security. Since the YMCA wants to make the facility safe, we expect everyone who enters the YMCA to pass the supervised front desk area. Plus using the back door as an unsupervised entry, would make it very easy for non-members to sneak in. Exiting the back door gives a person waiting to sneak in an opportunity to get in. Remember, you pay to support this facility, those who sneak in are free loading on what you pay for.

NOTE: The back door is monitored by an alarm.
FAMILY LOCKER ROOM
These locker rooms serve many purposes. First of all, they are designed to accommodate a physically challenged person, and allow for spouses to have a neutral locker room area to go to if the couple needs to assist each other in changing prior to entering the pool.

The family locker room also serves as a family locker room area for adult parents with opposite gender children (i.e. mom brings 4 year old son).

Persons who feel they would benefit from the use of the family locker room can pick up a key at the front desk. Family locker room should be limited to families with small children (6 and younger).
